Maylin had always dreamed of making a difference in people’s lives through healthcare. Growing up in Cuba, she witnessed firsthand the challenges in accessing medical care and the impact it had on families. When Maylin’s family immigrated to Miami, she was determined to pursue a career in nursing, eventually becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.

After graduating from South University in 2021, she joined Prime MD under the mentorship of Dr. Nye and Dr. Popa, Maylin honed her skills and expanded her knowledge in family medicine.

Her passion for family medicine was palpable; she believed that everyone deserved access to quality healthcare regardless of their background or circumstances. Her proficiency in both English and Spanish made her a valuable asset at Prime MD, where she effortlessly connected with a diverse patient population.

Despite the demands of her career and studies, she cherished spending time with her family. Her family’s unwavering support and encouragement fueled her dedication to her patients and community.

Maylin felt a renewed sense of purpose in her work at Prime MD. She continued to advocate for her patients, particularly those facing language barriers and socioeconomic challenges.
